Enrollment for the Class of 2028 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programs is now open. IB is designed to develop critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and other transferable skills, preparing students for university and a lifelong learning mindset.
It is not for every student. The program is looking for
sophomores with unique learning styles, strengths, and challenges? Students who do well in IB are usually those who are curious, inquisitive, and open-minded.
“If so, they might thrive in the IB program,” said Amy Hayes, advanced academics coordinator.
Starting in their junior year, students can choose to participate as IB Course Candidates of IB Diploma Candidates.
Bowie is currently in the midst of course selections for the 2026-2027 school year.
Hayes is contacting teachers and staff to help identify students who would benefit from the IB Programme.
