On January 17,  there was a senior assembly regarding important information such as : Prom, fundraisers, upcoming sporting events, hours, and graduation.

First, starting with prom, the theme is going to be “ Golden Globe: A night to remember.” The date is going to be May 20th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. It’s going to be held at 196 N Interstate E Rd, Red Oak, TX 75154. There will be an amazing venue to take pictures by yourself, with your date, and even your friends as well.

Regarding the food at prom, there will be a five star chef who has won Chopped, been on the FOX 4 Channel, and does chef knife catering as well. And he will be making : Mardi Gras Pasta, Cajun Chicken Alfredo, vegan pasta, salad, bread, drinks and desserts as well.

But, in order to get all of those things in one night there will be a fundraising goal of $25,000. With participation in the following fundraising events : King of the courts (tba), Urban air night on January 26th , Dunk a senior or officers day on February 7th, Valentines valograms on February 14th, Skate night on February 24th, Car wash fundraiser (tba), King of the courts part 2 (tba) , Dash nail bar (tba), Worlds finest chocolate (tba), Cookie dough (tba) , Vertical raise (tba) , Beast of the agg football tourney, Chick-fil-a (tba), Dodgeball tourney (tba), and lastly Chicken N Pickle spirit night (tba). Doing all of these events could lower the price of prom tickets either to a very cheap price or even free if all seniors who want to go to prom participate.

Bowie is also going to be having it’s first annual “Sneaker Ball” on Saturday, February 18th from 7-9 pm. Tickets will be $8 for singles and $15 for couples and the VIP ticket will be an extra five dollars with whichever ticket bundle you chose to buy. Lastly, there will also be a 360 photo booth with unlimited usage as well.

Secondly, if you owe hours due to being absent from classes, you can start coming to school on Saturdays from 8 am – 12 pm so not only will they triple your hours but you will also be able to work on Texas College Bridge. Tripling hours means to take away, for example if you owe 18 hours you could walk out with 12 hours and so on and so forth.

So during graduation which is on May 31, 2023 at the Globe Life Field at 4pm, you could walk away with a certificate stating that you’ve finished all four years of high school and a graduation cord for completing Texas College Bridge as well
