Bowie is Dreaming of A White Christmas

This December, the Bowie Headliners are presenting the musical White Christmas.

Choir and orchestra usually help in musicals, but this time dance will help with the choreography and choir will be singing Christmas carols while tickets are being sold before the show.

“This will be the biggest fine arts collaboration we’ve had,” Kevin Blount, theatre tech teacher and crew manager, said. “And with it being in December, it will be more festive.” In previous years, Christmas shows have typically run in mid-November.

White Christmas is about two soldiers-turned-showmen putting on a Christmas show to save a struggling inn. Sophomore Thaddeus Siller plays General Waverly, who formerly commanded the soldier and now owns the inn.

“This is going to be a show that students will regret missing,” he said. “I’m really excited. The cast is working hard and the directors even harder.”

The show will run from Thursday, December 12 until Saturday, December 14 in the Bowie auditorium.
