Varsity Girls Soccer

Bowie’s Varsity Soccer team has been kickin’ their way to victory, halfway through the season they are 7-3.

They are being led by first-year coach Jason Gaglione who describes himself as a strict coach.

“If they are not ready by 3:30, or properly dressed they do not practice,” he said, holding the team to a very high standard. His goal this year was to win over half of their games and at least place 4th in district.

“We have had a rocky start on our way to district, but we have gotten back on track to complete the goal,” he said

He wants the girls to “Never be mediocre, stay hungry.” he said when describing what lessons he wants the girls to learn.

Gaglione described Senior Jocelyn Rosales, and other seniors, as leaders.

“He stays on top of us but he makes sure we always stick to the standards and strive for better,” Rosales said.

The senior described her final year at Bowie as bittersweet as being ready to graduate and go out into the world.

“Coach shows us his progress and ours in film to show us were improving and inspiring us to push ourselves to the next level,” she said.
