On November 10, the Headliners began presenting “Into the Woods”. The musical includes; Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and several other classic fairy tales. These fairy tales come together and provide a twist in each others stories. By the end of act one, all stories have reached a happy ending. Then act two begins and they must come together to overcome a danger that threatens their happiness.

“I’ve wanted to do this show for a long time and I’m very excited to be able to do it with this group of students.” Joy Trimble, the director, said.

The Headliners spent the last two months rehearsing, building, and preparing. The cast and crew spent long hours perfecting solo songs, large group musical numbers, and memorizing lines. Opening night was a huge pay off to the cast, crew, and directors, to see their production take off.

“I’m excited for everyone to see how hard we’ve been working, to finally present “Into the Woods”.” Katy Darwin, who played the role of the witch, said.

Overall, Into the Woods was a huge success for the theater department and Bowie as a whole.
